Dr Allison Wells is a licensed, board-certified anesthesiologist with expertise in anesthesia from ambulatory care to complex surgical cases, and extensive experience in ketamine infusions and outpatient procedures. Her passion is helping patients achieve the best-possible outcomes in a safe, professional and comfortable manner.
Dr Wells is an experience-leader in interventional treatments for mood disorders and pain conditions. She co-founded one of the first focused clinics providing ketamine infusions in the country, and the first in Houston, providing over 12,000 infusions since 2015. She actively contributes to the field with research, advocacy, and efforts that expand access to care.
Dr Wells holds degrees from Swarthmore, Baylor College of Medicine, and UMass Amherst, and she trained at Baylor College of Medicine and Harvard Medical School. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine, a district director of the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists, a founding board member of The Ketamine TaskForce, and an executive board member of Legacy Health. She is a fellow of the American Society Anesthesiologists, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Physician Executive, and a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologists and the Texas Medical Association.
