Saré Gebhardt is a psychotherapist currently working in Lewiston, Maine. Musically trained at Berklee College of Music and completed her master’s at Lesley University for Expressive Arts Therapy & Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Saré seeks to bring awareness about the benefits of the arts into the therapeutic space. She maintains a state license of a Clinical Professional Counselor. She has trained in a variety of settings, from psychiatric hospitals, school systems, Center for Grieving Children, homes with families in crisis and Residential Treatment. Saré has also participated in multi-disciplinary teams in statewide agencies. She maintains membership with Association for Play Therapy and International Expressive Arts Therapy Association.
Saré is trained for work with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), groups, and families. Saré has experience in the areas of grief, trauma, depression, stress management, anxiety, relationships, sexuality and gender identity and various issues with individuals with disabilities. Saré has extensive training in the use of expressive arts therapy, including the following modalities: music, art, drama, writing, poetry, sandtray, play and movement. Along with this specialized counseling, Saré has also completed trainings at the Gestalt International Study Center. Saré has completed her EMDRIA-approved EMDR training with specialty training in children along with TBRI training (Trust-Based Relational Intervention).
